Loca: Set to Discoverable was a project that used bluetooth as a new form of surveillance created  by John Evans, Drew Hemment, Theo Humphries, and Mike Raento in 2006.  The project was created with the intent to make the public more aware of the amount of information they gave away unknowingly.  They did this by sending out short messages via bluetooth to any passerby with their cell phone set to discoverable.  During ISEA2006 and ZeroOne in San Jose the Loca group set up multiple 'nodes'…
